How can we help you ?

What documents do I need to present at the Europcar counter when I pick up my vehicle?

To successfully pick up your rental vehicle, you’ll need to bring the following documents:

1. Your Driving Licence

  • For UK licence holders: The paper counterpart of your licence is no longer valid. You’ll need to visit the DVLA online service “Share Driving Licence” at gov.uk/view-driving-licence to generate a one-time passcode. You’ll need your driving licence number, National Insurance number, and home postcode to get this passcode.
  • For holders of the old-style paper licence: You’ll need to present photographic identification (e.g., a passport) when picking up the vehicle.
  • If you’re renting in a country where your licence is not written in English: You’ll need an International Driving Permit (IDP), which must be accompanied by your regular driving licence.

2. Photographic Identification

  • You’ll need a passport or national identity card as additional identification.

3. Proof of Address

  • A utility bill or bank statement dated within the last three months, showing the same address as your driving licence.

4. A Valid Credit Card

  • The credit card must expire after the return date of your rental.
  • If you prepaid for your reservation, please bring the same credit card you used for payment.
  • If you’re using a Europcar prepaid voucher, you must also present a credit card for the deposit and any charges not covered by the voucher.

For Additional Drivers:

  • The same documents will be required for any additional drivers listed on your rental agreement.
