Do I need a subscription to charge my EV rental, and how do I start a session?

To charge your EV at a public station, Europcar UK offers a no-subscription, pay-as-you-go solution via Octopus Electroverse.

Getting Started:

- Sign up for a free Electroverse account here.

- Add your preferred payment method (debit/credit card or Apple Pay).

- Start a session via the Electroverse app or an Electrocard (RFID) requested through the app. Both methods let you start and stop charging at compatible stations.

Charging Stations:

Access over 1 million chargers across the UK and Europe. The app shows nearby chargers, availability, charging power, and estimated charging times.

Pricing:

Rates vary by network, power, and country; all are shown in the app before charging. No subscription is required.

Please note: Tesla Superchargers are not included in the Electroverse network.

Invoices:

Charges are billed automatically to your linked payment method. VAT-inclusive invoices can be downloaded directly from the app.
