Driving in Frankfurt
Frankfurt is located close to key motorways, making it is easy to access by car. On German roads, the maximum speed limit on motorways and dual carriageways is 130 km/h, and 100 km/h on other roads. In Frankfurt itself, the speed limit is 50 km/h unless signposted otherwise, and is reduced in residential areas and around schools.
On-street parking in the centre of Frankfurt is limited and car parks are better options, with more space and unlimited parking time. Cheaper rates apply during the evenings and weekends.
