I need to change my rental. What should I do?
If you have booked with Europcar direct, the fastest and easiest way to change your rental is through our self-service portal, especially if you have your booking email address or customer account details. If you have booked through a Third Party, you must contact your original provider (e.g., travel agent, broker) to make changes.
1. Modifying Your Booking Online (Recommended)
You can manage your reservation in the "Manage Your Booking" section of our website.
Step | Action | |
Access | Go to the “Manage your booking” section (Click here to access it directly).
Identify | Enter the email address or name used for the booking, plus your reservation number.
Modify | Click on the “Modify my booking” button, make your changes, and proceed. |
💡 Critical Notes for Online Modifications:
- Prepaid Bookings: Modifying a prepaid reservation requires a cancel and rebook process. Your original payment will be refunded, and a new payment will be required for the updated booking.
- Note: Rewards or discounts applied to the original booking will not be refunded or transferred.
- Fees: Changes made within 48 hours of pick-up may be subject to amendment fees.
- Final Confirmation: A new confirmation email will be sent to you once the changes are fully processed.
2. Modifying at the Rental Station
You can also request amendments directly when you arrive to collect your vehicle.
- Charges: Any upgrades (to a larger model) or added options will result in additional charges.
- Availability: All changes are subject to vehicle and equipment availability at the time of your request.
3. Restrictions and Assistance
