Our Commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility

At Europcar, we believe that success is measured not just by our financial performance, but by the positive impact we make on society and the environment. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is at the heart of everything we do - our ‘Commit Together’ framework guides our decisions, shapes our culture, and connects us to the communities we serve. From ethical business practices and environmental sustainability to social impact and employee well-being, we're committed to building a better future for all.

Matt Hampson Foundation

The Foundation was launched by former England Under 21s Rugby Union player, Matt Hampson OBE after an accident in training in 2005 left him with life-changing injuries. The Foundation aims to inspire and support young people seriously injured through sport.
We support this local Melton Mowbray-based charity with premium rates for beneficiaries' friends and families, making a donation for every vehicle rental booking made using the supporter rate. We provide a long wheelbase van to transport an assortment of materials for fundraising events, visit the Foundation for team building days at the Get Busy Living Centre, and raise funds for them throughout the year.

Our 'Commit Together' Framework

In 2017, our Group initiated a structured CSR approach with the 'Commit Together' programme, in order to share its commitments with all of its employees on various aspects of Corporate Social Responsibility. By focusing on 4 main priorities, the 'Commit Together' programme supports both the Group’s strategy and its purpose: "We help to change the way you move".

The 4 pillars of our 'Commit Together' programme:

Act for the environment
By the nature of our activities, we contribute to achieving a low carbon world by offering alternatives to car ownership, contributing to the reduction of the number of cars on the roads and in our cities.
Make mobility accessible
We are convinced that mobility is a driver of social inclusion and consider access to mobility as a key factor. This is why we propose a range of offers that is diversified enough to cover all customer needs and budgets.
Share Our Business Ethics
We take pride in our values and strive to adhere to our business ethics, which is a key factor for enhancing our customers’ trust and loyalty and that of our partners. We increasingly integrate CSR into supplier relationships.
Be a responsible employer
We're convinced our performance is closely linked to the diversity, the development and the commitment of our employees. These pillars are the foundations upon which the Group's responsibility as an employer relies on.
