Europcar Express at Dublin Airport

Europcar Express is a faster car pickup service available at Dublin Airport. It allows you to collect your keys from the Europcar Express key box in the terminal and continue to your vehicle in the Short Term Car Park.

Select 'Pay Online' and then choose 'Europcar Express' when making your reservation at Dublin Airport. After booking, you will receive an email with a link to complete your Europcar Express validation before you travel.

Europcar Express validation is the online step that helps us prepare your rental before you arrive. We use it to check the main driver’s details against the booking, including the identity and rental information needed to release the vehicle through the Europcar Express key box. This means that, when validation is successful, we can prepare your keys for the correct terminal and give you a smoother, deskless pickup experience at Dublin Airport.

Onfido is the identity verification provider we use as part of Europcar Express validation. It allows you to complete your identity check online before pickup, rather than completing all checks at the rental counter. This helps us validate the information needed for your rental and prepare your keys for the correct terminal if your validation is successful. As part of the process, you may be asked to take a photo of your driving licence, passport or ID document, take a selfie or short video so your identity can be matched to your document, and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the check securely. Onfido uses automated checks and facial biometrics to help confirm that your document is genuine and that it matches the person completing the check. Your information will be used to complete your Europcar Express validation and handled in line with the Europcar Privacy Policy.

Please have the following ready before you begin: your driving licence, your payment card and your flight details, if available.

Europcar Express is designed to give you a faster, deskless pickup experience at Dublin Airport. To make this possible, we need to validate the main driver’s details before you arrive. This helps us complete the checks usually carried out at the rental counter, prepare your keys for the correct terminal and confirm whether key box collection is available for your rental. Completing your validation in advance helps make your pickup smoother on the day.

Once your Europcar Express validation is successful, we can prepare your keys for collection from the Europcar Express key box at Dublin Airport. We will send your key box instructions before pickup, including where to go, how to access the key box and anything else you need to know before you arrive. You will then be able to collect your keys from the key box and continue to your vehicle in the Short Term Car Park.

Your booking will still be confirmed. If your Europcar Express validation is unsuccessful, key box collection will not be available for that rental. This means you will need to collect your vehicle from the Europcar rental counter at Dublin Airport instead. Our team will complete the usual checks at the counter and help you get on your way.

Once your validation has been completed successfully, you can collect your keys from the Europcar Express key box in the terminal. Your collection email will confirm all of the details you need to securely access your rental keys.

Your vehicle will be waiting in the Short Term Car Park at Dublin Airport.

With Europcar Express, you benefit from priority on-site pickup. Your vehicle will be located in the Short Term Car Park at either Terminal 1 or Terminal 2, depending on the flight details you supply, so your car will be just a short walk away.

We will use the information you provide to complete your Europcar Express validation, confirm the main driver’s details against the booking and prepare your pickup if validation is successful. Where an identity check is required, the relevant information is shared securely with Onfido, our identity verification provider. Your payment card details will also be held against your rental so any charges linked to your hire period can be processed if they arise, such as tolls, fines or additional rental fees. Your information will be handled in line with the Europcar .

Please return your car to the same Dublin Airport terminal that you collected it from.

At Dublin Airport, if the counter is open, return your keys directly to the Europcar desk in the arrivals hall of either Terminal 1 or Terminal 2. If the desk is closed, drop your keys into the secure key return box located on the left-hand side wall near the Europcar counter inside the terminal.

You'll also receive an email with full details of how to return your car at the terminal.

At Dublin Airport, if the counter is open, return your keys directly to the Europcar desk in the arrivals hall of either Terminal 1 or Terminal 2. If the desk is closed, drop your keys into the secure key return box located on the left-hand side wall near the Europcar counter inside the terminal.
