How do I charge my Europcar EV and what does it cost?
You can charge your electric vehicle at a wide range of public charging stations. Prices vary depending on the country, the charging network operator, and the station’s power level.
In the UK, Europcar has partnered with Octopus Electroverse, providing access to hundreds of charging networks and over 1 million charge points across the UK and Europe, with no subscription or connection fee. Pricing for each charger is clearly displayed in the app before you start your session.
How it works:
- Easy setup: Create a free Electroverse account here and add your preferred payment method (such as debit/credit card or Apple Pay).
- Simple charging: Start a session directly in the app or by tapping an Electroverse RFID card (Electrocard) at compatible chargers.
- Automatic payments: Once you finish charging, the cost is billed automatically to your linked payment method.
Good to Know:
- Some motorway rapid chargers may include extra fees, always check the rate in the Electroverse app before you start.
- If you’re an Octopus Energy home customer, you can benefit from exclusive charging discounts through Electroverse app or Octopus Energy.
