What are the steps for the Online Check-in?
Online check-in is a simple process that allows us to prepare your rental agreement in advance and help you save time upon arrival at the rental desk. Here are the main steps.
Before you start
- Service availability : online check'in is available at selected locations and for specific rentals types. If you receive an Online Check-in email after your booking, this indicates that you are renting your vehicle from an eligible station and your booking meets the criteria for online check-in
- Check-in from a laptop : you can start and close the process from your laptop or desktop but you will need a mobile phone to scan a QR code and take your selfie or scan your documents.
- Deadline : online check'in is open up to 15 minutes before rental pick-up, but as the validation process may take up to 1 hour or more during peak period, we recommend completing the process at least 24 hours before your arrival at the counter!
Once you have arrived to the Online Check-in webpage, you will be guided through the following steps:
Upon accessing the Online Check-in welcome screen, you'll be asked to verify your booking reservation number along with your surname or email address. (you might skip this step if you are logged into your account or if you arrive to the process from your email)
You can complete Online Check-in using a laptop or desktop; however, to scan your documents and take a selfie, the webpage will guide you to scan a QR code via your mobile phone. Once you've scanned the QR code, you'll be directed to complete the document upload and selfie process on your mobile device. After completing these steps, you'll be asked to switch back to your web browser on your PC to finalize the check-in process. This ensures a seamless and secure experience across devices.
Once on the Online Check-in, you can scan your identification documents (e.g., ID card, passport), driver's license, and take a selfie for verification purposes.
After scanning your documents and selfie, your documents will be uploaded for verification. As final step, review the contact details information provided, fill out the missing details and submit to finalize the Online Check-in process.
Upon successful submission, you'll receive a confirmation email confirming your Online Check-in. This email is sent after your documents have been verified, which usually takes about an hour (sometimes longer during busy periods).
