Europcar / Nectar Book Direct Offer Terms & Conditions

 

1. From 01 September 2019 Nectar members can earn either:

a. 7 Nectar points per £1 spent (“Bonus Points Offer”) plus 1 point per £1 spent (“Base Points”), when renting a car from a Europcar location in the UK; or

b. 800 Nectar points per rental (“Bonus Points Offer”) plus 200 points per rental (“Base Points”), when renting a car or van from a Europcar location in Spain, Italy, France, Germany, Portugal, Australia, Switzerland, Belgium, Austria, Norway and New Zealand

2. Qualifying rentals:

The Bonus Points Offer is only available for a car or van rental that is a qualifying rental. A qualifying rental means that:

a. the booking for a car rental is made directly with Europcar either via www.europcar.co.uk using offer code ‘54385474’, or by calling the dedicated Europcar/Nectar phone number (0871 384 1140) and quoting offer code ‘54385474’; and

b. the booked vehicle is not one of our Selection range of vehicles; and

c. the rental car is collected from a Europcar location during the Offer Period and lasts for up to 20 days; and

d. the main driver has provided a valid Nectar membership number at the time of booking and presented their Nectar membership card at the time of rental

3. Discount Offer:

a. Discount Offer available under the specific conditions below.

b. Discount Offer available for bookings made before 31 October 2019, for the majority of the categories of Europcar cars, placed directly with Europcar/Nectar via www.europcar.co.uk using offer code ‘54385474’, or by calling the dedicated Europcar/Nectar phone number (0871 384 1140) and quoting offer code ‘54385474’.

c. Discount Offer only available at participating rental stations, under the following restrictions, and in the following countries:

i. UK: Up to 20% off on car bookings. 5% off 1 day rentals; 10% off 2 day and 21-27 day rentals; and 20% off 3 to 20 day rentals. Offer valid for pick-ups before 31 March 2020, excluding 09 - 28 December 2019.

d. Reservations must be placed at least 7 days in advance to qualify.

e. Discount Offer subject to vehicles availability.

f. Discount Offer may not be used in conjunction with any other offer or special offer, with the exception of the Bonus Points Offer.

g. The percentage of reduction is calculated on the basis of the non-reduced price (i.e. the reference price) – filling in the same selection criteria (eg: dates, destination, vehicles, etc…) on the homepage of europcar.co.uk.

h. The rate displayed and made available when using the offer code above include directly the percentage off.

i. Discount Offer does not apply on the recommended extras.

4. This Bonus Points Offer and Discount Offer cannot be combined with any other offer, promotion or discount or other third party loyalty programme points/miles being offered concurrently by Europcar.

5. Europcar reserves the right to amend or withdraw this Bonus Points Offer at any time without prior notice. Nectar members are encouraged to check www.europcar.co.uk/partners/nectar/book-direct-conditions for up to date information.

6. Nectar members will be credited with points to their account in accordance with the following rules which can be modified by Europcar from time to time: Base Points and Bonus Points as detailed above, will be awarded either:

a. on the total cost of each qualifying rental in the UK; or

b. per rental for each qualifying rental in the countries outside of the UK and listed in paragraph 1(b) above;

during the Offer Period.

7. Car or van rentals booked that do not take place within the Offer Period or that take place in a country that is not listed in term 1 above, will qualify for the Base Points award only (as set out in term 1 above).  Rentals taking place in USA, Canada, China and Japan will not be qualifying rentals and will therefore not receive Base Points or Bonus Points.

8. Nectar points will not be awarded on a Nectar member’s spend relating to subsequent charges, i.e. damage charges, theft or motoring offences and associated admin fees.

9. Points will be credited to the member’s account within eight weeks of the qualifying rental having completed.

10. Retroactive collection of both standard and bonus points is only permitted up to 12 months after the qualifying rental has taken place.

11. The Nectar member cannot earn points on more than one qualifying rental at the same time; only one qualifying rental can be recorded.

12. Nectar points cannot be collected in combination with any other third party loyalty programme points/miles offered by Europcar.

13. Standard terms & conditions of hire for the destination rental country will apply to the qualifying rental.  A copy of these can be downloaded here.

14. Qualifying rentals are subject to availability and driver qualification.

15. Qualifying rental rates are inclusive of all mandatory and applicable charges. These include Collision Damage and Theft Waivers (which are subject to an Excess amount), and VAT but exclude fuel.
