Driving in Brussels
When in Brussels, please stay on the right hand side of the road and overtake on the left. Traffic tends to get busier the closer to the city you get with the European Area being particularly congested at times, so leave plenty of time for your journey and avoid travelling during morning and evening commute times which tend to fall from 7-9am and 5-7pm.
With regards to leaving your car, on-street parking is available but is usually limited to two hours. Alternatively, use one of the many parking lots in the city centre which tend to be open around the clock. If you want to save yourself the hassle of looking for a space in the city centre, there are eight free Park and Ride locations on the outskirts of the city with locations including Roodebeek and Kraainem.
