Driving in Avignon

When driving in wet weather conditions, motorway speed limits are reduced by 10 km/h. If your visibility is less than 50 metres in front of you, the speed limit is 50 km/h on all road types.
Due to the historic nature of the centre of Avignon, parking is limited. There is one car park under Les Halles market square, with short and long stay parking available. Around the edge of the city there are several other large parking areas. A ring road runs around Avignon crossing over the River Rhône.
